It’s been over six months since we kicked off our year of travelling, and something we wanted to accomplish early on was to get our diving license so that we could discover the world over and under water this year.
We chose the (almost too) gorgeous island of Santorini to tick off two items on our bucket list. We spent a week there to explore the island as well as get out PADI license with Navy’s Waterworld Dive Center, a wonderful dive shop that happens to be PADI 5 Star certified (since then, we’ve dived in Mexico and the Philippines).
Our time was spent watching the sunset sipping local wine at Santo Wines, enjoying a delicious dinner at Metaxi Mas, hanging out with cats in Oia, watching No Time to Die at the Open Air Cinema, eating souvlakis from Pito Gyros and swimming in the crystal clear water of Ammoudi Beach.
It was such a good stay in fact that we’re already planning to return to enjoy some more beautiful sunsets and get our Advanced diving certification because we’re already making the most of our Open Water license :)
