Early March, Julien and I flew to the land of pizza. Yes, we ate pizza every day of our trip. No, we didn’t get sick of it (except for the traumatic ferry ride to Ischia… but that’s another story for another time).
First thing we did after settling in our little flat, we headed to Sorbillo (arriving at 11.45am to avoid the out of control crowd). But our favourite pizza in Naples had to be Da Attilio, where we went back on our last day (not brave enough to try La Zendraglie nextdoor, specialised in tripes!). In addition to all the pizza, we also stuffed our faces with cornetti con nocciolata, sfogliatelle, and rum babas which all went down thanks to many cappuccinos.
Soulcrumbs was a little different from the lovely espresso bars you’ll find on every street corner, but a really cute find nonetheless which happens to serve local natural wines in the evening.
We also enjoyed visiting the Sanseverina chapel, strolling along the sea up to the Castel Nuovo from which you can enjoy the view of the bay, Mount Vesuvius and Naples, but the best part was exploring the surrounding region (by car or by boat!). To be continued…
