Masada and the Dead Sea

Floating on the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, was that once in a lifetime experience we couldn’t get around doing when traveling to Israel.

Without a car, we booked a tour and spent the day exploring the ruins of Masada in the desert (bring a picnic!) where we even felt some raindrops (something almost improbable in that region). We then stopped by a busy beach (you’ll notice how the crowds were carefully not captured in the Instagram worthy shots below) to dip our toes in that water so high in minerals we could float effortlessly.
