A month ago, as everyone headed back to Oxford for the beginning of term, I decided to go in the other direction and pay a visit to my friends in Cambridge. This was my first trip ever in rival land and I hope my university does not find out about this post because… I seriously loved it !! It doesn’t help that my friends all live in some of Cambridge most beautiful colleges and I was dying of envy each time they gave me a tour of their college. My friend Jess is definitely a great tour guide who knows all the best facts from the chair leg in Henry VIII’s hand on the facade of Trinity college, to the car placed at the top of the Senate house by brilliant students. I recommend her services ;)
The highlight of my stay has to be punting in the sun with friends while passing under (not so) unique bridges whilst fiddling with sticky chelsea buns from Fitzbillies. I don’t think I could have hoped for a more iconic and dreamy picture.
I thought I’d share with you some of my captures which should give you an idea of how breathtaking Cambridge is, and which hopefully will help me redeem myself towards Oxford for having fallen in love with the enemy.
Hi! Can I ask you what lens and film do you use? These are beautiful! :)
Hi Teresa ! Thank you so much, I’m glad you like the photos !
My lens is a Rikenon f/1.7, 50mm
and my film is the Fujifilm superia X-tra 400 (my absolute favourite)
