Incontournables plaisirs parisiens

Having been away from Paris for a week, I’m already planning my next trip back as soon as term ends, and have started craving the little things that make Parisian life so special. Other than my love for croissants and pains au chocolat (which you all already know about), these are my absolute must-guilty pleasures when I’m in my favourite city.

1. A chocolate chip cookie that’s “good for your heart” and made with love by the smiling and dedicated Moko at Mokonuts.
Where ? 5 rue Saint Bernard, 11eme
How much ? 2€

2. A super chunky slice of Café Oberkampf‘s banana bread, toasted and with a knob of butter (or coconut oil). Crispy on the outside, moist and warm on the inside, the perfect accompaniment for a good cup of Lomi coffee.
Where ? 3 rue Neuve Popincourt, 10eme
How much ? 4€

3. The one and only breakfast bun at Ten Belles or their new shop Ten Belles Bread, which nobody can have enough of…
Where ? 10 rue de la Grange aux Belles, 10eme  OR 17-19 rue Bréguet,11eme
How much ? 4€

4. That “crêpe au nutella”, which is more a “nutella à la crêpe” if you look at the ratio of chocolatey goodness to crêpe batter… There’s only one place to have it in Paris, and that is on rue Mouffetard !
Where ? 36 rue Mouffetard, 5eme
How much ? 2€

5. The super fudgy brownie topped with pistachio ganache at Chez D, which on top of being the essence of indulgence is gluten free !
Where ? 220 rue Saint Jacques, 5eme
How much ? 4€

6. The smallest of all, but you halaznut-obsessed out there will get me : the hazelnut financier at Baba Boudan. Perfect for a “reasonable” goûter considering its size, it will satisfy all your sweet cravings before you take a walk around the Jardin du Luxembourg.
Where ? 19 rue Gay Lussac
How much ? 1€
