Waaaaah! The film photographs from Italy are developed and I hope you love them as much as I do because these little snapshots simply transport me back to those 24 hours spent in Venice, exploring the islands of Giudecca, Venezia, Murano (and Burano but this island deserves its own post… You’ll know why soon enough!).
You never truly understand how surreal this city is until you see it with your own eyes. I mean, when was the last time you were in a city which has no cars or motorcycles? I loved hopping on little ferry boats instead of buses and gaze at the pretty buildings from the water (except for that time we were stuck on a ferry and missed our train to Florence – the growing realisation that there was nothing we could do unless we dived in the water and swam with our suitcases was a very new feeling for sure!).
Needless to say, the blue water of the Mediterranean combined with little bridges and laundry drying in between buildings covered with pretty shutters are a photographer’s dream! I thus bring you a several of my film photographs, all taken on Pentax K1000, Fujifilm Superia X-Tra 400.
Please please do leave comments below to share your thoughts and tell me if you’ve ever been to Venice!

I love how you work with composition. I’m also really blown away by the color scheme you’ve managed for each of the photographs. They’re so vivid and really make Venice come alive in two dimensions. Well done.
