Pop of colour, pop of flavour! This is what you’ll get at SAaM, a Korean restaurant that carved out its niche in the 10th arrondissement, near the recently refilled Canal Saint-Martin. Picking one of Paris’s trendiest areas and being featured in Le Fooding on top of providing tasty food and good service are the reasons why this restaurant is so popular and will get people to queue outside. That’s if they don’t want to take away their flavour packed steamed buns and get messy at home, where no one can see them. The rest of us will enjoy the cute seating room with its pretty lights, pastel walls and tiny open kitchen where four people are cooking away delicious food that will get our fingers all sticky. It doesn’t matter if you get some of that sweet and sour sauce all over your face, no one’s judging. And you tend to forget it as you concentrate fully on savouring the different textures and flavours that can, to everyone’s surprise, all be packed in one simple medium-sized bun.
Bun wise, my favourites were Chicken and Beef! Especially the chicken, it was incredibly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavourful on the inside…
